Light

The light that comes with the cube is a nice looking 18w PL light.
Only thing bothering me is the plastic screws with wichyou have to adjust the fixture.
You can’t tighten them too tight, cause than you risk damaging the groove in such a way they won’t hold anymore.

For that reason alone I keep the lid on the tank. I wanted it to be an open tank, but it’s too risky for me. Even though in the advertisements they say the light is totally safe, and could fall in the water without shorting out the circuits.

Looking at it, I’m not prepared to take that risk.

The Manual is again very simple, gives no information on the light, and why it would be safe to fall in the water.

It does however say,to make sure it won’t be possible for it to fall in the water. And if it does, to first pull the plug and hen take it out of the water.

It also clearly states, that any damage due to the light falling in the water, will not be covered by the warranty.

Other than that there are only two small point that might need improvement, one being there is a lot of stray light, but I guess that’s inevitable. My room is completely lit by it.

The other point is that it flickers a lot before finally starting up.

Pros: Looks good
Cons: Slow start-up, a lot of stray light. Plastic screws.
