Collecting Rocks

Since puffers come from an area where there is a lot of rock, I had to go get rock for my tank. I always like a good combination of wood and rocks in any aquarium.



I’ve read where they come from there are multiple colours of rocks and pebbles. The rocks you buy here at the pet-stores are always lava rocks, or rocks/pebbles from the river the Maas.
Since I live next to that river, I went and got them myself. Not only do I save a lot of money, But /I have a lot more to choose from.
Off course this isn’t really legal, but I promise to bring back the rocks I won’t use. ;-)

Before using them I scrubbed them off properly, and put them in boiling water, to discourage any unwanted bacteria.
